Have you ever seen the movie "Song of the Sea"? I can't remember how long ago it was when I saw it, but it is really a cute movie about a little girl who is a Selkie and I will never forget it. It's definitely one of my favorites. When I heard the song in the movie which is also called "Song of the Sea", I was entranced. I LOVED how the little girl was lifted up into the air and sang this beautiful song, freeing supernatural creatures from the spell of a Celtic goddess. My dream is to heal people with my voice and I couldn't help but feel like that little girl was me as I watched.

Being that I am The Selkie Siren, I added some Siren singing to the song, which is at about 1:24. I wish I could sing this song in front of an orchestra. I can't even imagine how amazing that would be. The original song has a more realistic instrumental which I'm assuming is due to the fact that Lisa Hannigan had actual musicians being recorded for her song. So cool.

I have been so used to attempting to use my DAW as an instrument for all my music because I don't have the money to hire real musicians or a music producer. It's fun to try and attempt at creating music, but....it's just not ever the same as recording raw instruments or being able to just focus on singing.
